The Pinkadilly Square Baby Blanket combines vertical panels of simple cables and delicate lace, framed by garter stitch on all sides.
It is constructed in one piece, requiring minimal finishing.
Pattern includes clearly written instructions.
Although it may look complicated, it is not difficult to knit - assuming you are familiar with basic lace and cable knitting.

Finished size is approx. 24” wide x 30” long, after blocking.

Materials required include approx. 600 yds worsted weight yarn and size 8 circular needles, 24”, (or size needed for gauge).
Sample was knit using 3 skeins of Berroco Vintage, color 5110 (Fondant).

Recommended gauge is 4.5 sts per inch, in stockinette stitch.
Although the blanket is knit in a combination of lace and cables, gauge information is provided in stockinette stitch, for ease in substituting yarns.
Change needle size as necessary, to achieve correct gauge and/or a fabric that you like.
Since this is a blanket, exact gauge is not critical.
It will, however, affect the finished size and amount of yarn used.

Required skills include casting on, knitting, purling, increasing (YO), decreasing (SSK and K2tog), basic lace knitting, basic cable knitting, and binding off.
