Graceful curves of needles and limbs, crowning the hardy evergreen, embrace pinecones and the hidden gems inside. Pinon Coast is a beanie style hat, starting with a garter brim that grow into swooping lines with clusters of purl stitches.

Materials
O-Wool Balance 50% wool 50% cotton – 130 yards (119 meters) 1.75 oz. / 50 g 1, (1, 2) skeins or 70, (100, 150) yards DK/ light Worsted weight yarn
Balance is categorized as a worsted weight, however I feel it light enough to use as a DK.

Needles-
For baby and child sizes: US 6 / 4.0 mm DPN’s or 40” circular for magic loop and
US 7 / 4.5 mm DPN’s or 40” circular for magic loop
For Adult size: US 6 / 4.0 mm 16” circular

The hat begins with a garter stitch brim and transitions through 3 charts, ending with a shaped crown. Pattern is written and charted. For a slouch style hat work an additional repeat of Chart 2, this will add an additional 1.5 inches
