Pinwheel Doily and Coasters works up fairly quickly using only 3 stitches: Chain, Single Crochet, and Slip Stitch. The doily measures 12 inches, blocked, and the coasters are 4.5 inches. The pattern is repeated 8 times around forming a slightly curved pinwheel. I used Size 10 thread in solid colors as that shows the pattern best, but it also works with a batik thread. The set uses less than one ball of thread.
