Whirling pinwheels are one of the wonders of childhood. Here they are worked in a rainbow of colors; dramatically showcased by a black background. Techniques used include: Pu&k, mattress stitch and Intarsia (optional). The modular construction was used in the photographed blanket sample.

There are two methods for working the blocks in the pattern. One is worked modularly with just decreases for shaping, and the other has a hint of simple intarsia.

The pattern includes full written instructions and step-by-step construction illustrations. Charts and video tutorial links are also provided.
