About Piper Sweater
This Piper sweater combines modern structure with cozy texture. Worsted weight yarn held with mohair creates a fabric that’s lightweight and warm. The saddle shoulder construction offers a clean contemporary silhouette with a tailored oversize fit that is both roomy and shaped to flatter. The bold stripes offer visual interest and allow for endless color options. Pattern provides instructions for knitting body and sleeves in the round or flat.

Knitting Needles
• US 9/5.5mm DPN’s, 16” and 30-36” circular needles. These will be used to knit the body and sleeves in stockinette.
• US 7/4.5mm DPN’s 16” and 30-36” circular needles. These will be used to knit the ribbing for neck, sleeves, and hem.
If using magic loop, you don’t need DPNs or the 16” circular needles.

Pattern Workflow
Sweater is worked top down with saddle shoulder construction. The shoulders, back, front neckline and sleeves are shaped with GSR for a tailored fit. The back and front are worked flat separately up to underarms. Then you’ll join the front and back and work the body in the round or flat while working the stripe pattern. Sleeves are worked by picking up sts around armhole opening and can be worked in the round or flat. The neckband, cuffs and hem are worked in 1x1 rib.

Yarn Note
You will hold 1 strand of worsted weight yarn and 1 strand of mohair throughout the pattern. For this pattern, the same color/strand of mohair is used throughout the pattern. You’ll only switch the worsted weight yarn. When instructions say to use MC or CC, it means MC held with mohair or CC held with mohair.
