Pirate & the Bloody Bohemian is a Scandinavian style sack hat knit in the round using stranded technique. The Aran weight yarn and needle size make for a quick and easy knit. Tassels are added for a bit of bohemian fun and double as ghosts for Halloween. There’s also a Santa version!

There are two sizes available that will fit an average woman’s and man’s head circumference.

This pattern uses Icelandic Lettlopi yarn to complete the Scandinavian look and texture. Each colour will require one skein. Gauge is 18 sts and 21 rows knit in stranded pattern. My stranded knitting is very loose and I still have a bit left over from one skein of main colour in the larger sized hat.

Needles required are 4 mm and 5 mm, 50cm (20 in) circulars and one set of 5 mm straight needles.
