This adorable hat is a great pattern for beginning crocheters. It is stitched with worsted weight yarn and features a striped design that ties at the bottom. The eye patch is not attached to the hat so it just slips on and off. This pattern is written in standard US crochet terms and features 3 hat sizes which I have divided into 0-6 months, 6-24 months, and child.

This pattern also features a non-standard join which helps the seam to fall straighter and without any holes or gaps.
