The Pirineo hat is knit bottom up and in the round. This beanie uses basic knit and purl stitches that result in a very warm and cozy hat perfect for a cold winter day.

It’s perfect for last minute gifts and artisan markets as it takes one skein of yarn and it is very quick to make. It is also reversible!

The pattern is written in US standard terms and includes instructions for 2 yarn weights: super bulky, and bulky.

It is recommended for advanced beginner and intermediate knitters.

SUGGESTED YARN:
Super bulky (6): Malabrigo Rasta, Wool Ease Thick and Quick
Bulky (5): Malabrigo Chunky.

NEEDLES: US 17 / 12 mm, US 11 / 8 mm

Super bulky: 7.5 stitches x 11 rounds in 2x1 rib in 4” / 10 cm
Bulky: 14 stitches x 16 rounds in 2x1 rib in 4” / 10 cm
