This cute and fun hat features a standard Double-Knitted Brioche ribbed brim, with a strip of detail around the body, formed from a simple arrangement of increases and decreases, outlined top and bottom with a lip of reverse-stocking-stitch double-knitting, to give texture and structure to the pattern.

The decreases on the hat’s crown zig-zag gently back and forth, bringing everything to an elegant and well-fitting point in the centre.

The Pitchfork Hat is two hat designs in one.

One, the smaller of the two, is designed to be worn fitting like a standard beanie, with no turn up. It is formed pentagonally, from five identical sections, and will fit most heads very neatly.

The second hat, the large size, is designed specifically to be worn with a wide, turned-up brim, incorporating the detailed section in the turn up, and to enable the fit, is worked with a longer body section, and with a sixth section added, for comfort.
