A stranded bonnet that keeps little ones warm and cosy through cold weather, with a tie at the neck to keep it securely in place. It also makes them look like the cutest pixies!

This fun pattern is simple and quick to make, and a good introduction to stranded colourwork, where the yarns are carried at the back to make a thick, warm fabric, with very little weaving in of the ends.

Materials:
• 50g double knitting yarn in main colour.
• Small amounts of two contrasting colours
• 1 pair 4mm (UK8 – US6) knitting needles
• 1 pair 3 1⁄4 (UK10 – US3) knitting needles

Sizes:
• 6-12 months (1-2 years)
Instructions for larger size is given in brackets, where they vary from the first size.
