This very simple garter stitch pixie hat can be hand knitted with any Aran (US Worsted) merino wool. You will knit the main hat with 2 strands to give you a super chunky weight hat on 9mm (US13) single pointed needles.

The delicate flowers are worked with 1 strand of DK (US Light Worsted) on 4mm (US6) single pointed needles. Choose colours from your as you only need a tiny amount.

This hat is ideal for a beginner who can cast on, knit, purl, k2tog, and cast off.

You will need:
1 pair of 9mm (US13) knitting needles for the hat
1 pair of 4mm (US6) knitting needles for the flowers

30 (40, 50, 70, 90) gm soft merino Aran (US Worsted) Colour 1
(divided into 2 equal balls to work together for the hat)
3 X Flowers
15gm Colour 2 (darker shade of flower colour) DK (US Light Worsted)
7gm Colour 3 (lighter shade of flower colour) DK (US Light Worsted)

Tension
NOTE: worked in garter stitch
with 2 strands of Aran on 9mm (US13) needles
10 sts = 10cms
18 rows = 10cms
