It’s amazing what we can create with just a simple granny square! Grannies are a basic in crochet, and today we’re going to explore one of the cutest patterns out there!

For this project, all you need to do is knit, and I’ll take care of the rest! I’ve designed this knitting guide complete with videos and instructions for each stitch, making it perfect for beginners.

You can use a variety of cotton threads for this project, such as 6/6, 8/6, or 8/12. Depending on the thickness you choose, you’ll need 100 g, 150 g, or 170 g for each placemat.
