This pattern is available for C$5.00.

This is the round 2 pattern in Sock Madness 16, and is exclusive to SM16 participants. Once the competition ends in June, the pattern will be made available to the general public.

When it comes to clothing, I like plaid, and I like pockets. These socks have both!

First things first: this is NOT an afterthought pocket. The pocket is worked simultaneously with the leg using double knitting, no sewing involved. It’s the perfect width for a card or some spare change. Other than the pocket, the pattern is a straightforward cuff-down stranded colourwork sock with short floats only. Only two colours are used at any given time. It has an extra cushy heel flap and a gusset on the sole.

Three sizes are provided: S (M, L), with 60 (70, 80) stitches per round. Foot length is adjustable. Instructions are written, and the colourwork pattern is charted. The pocket is both written and charted.
