My mom and I love playing the app with the cute plant friends. I don’t dare play the video game because I’d probably cry if one of the cute little creatures died xD. But since we started playing the app, we’ve finally been in the mood to go for walks again. So it immediately became clear to me that I needed to design a scarf at some point. For months, I couldn’t come up with a suitable and original design. I wanted it to be colorful, but not a copy of my Colorful Bunny Scarf. I’m very happy with how the design turned out, and it’s perfect for a scrap project. :)

Pattern includes written instructions for the overall project, but the body of the scarf is all charted (no written instructions for that).

The scarf uses an invisible cast-on, invisible bind-off, and slipped edges.

Fingering weight Yarn (2,5 – 3,5mm/ US 1 ½ - 4 Needle)

200m/50g (219 yards/ 1,8oz), (75% extra fine merino wool 25% Nylon), or a similar weight and yardage in the fiber and color of your choice.

For a better gray contrast, I would swap 073 Izmir with 071 Jakarta and 079 Munich with 069 Miami.

You could also buy the Scheepjes Metropolis Color Pack (80 colors), which allows you to experiment with more colors. Each ball weighs 10g, so it might not be enough for some color repeats, but you can use similar ones. About 111€ if you get all the colors individually like I did, and 99€-110€ for the Color Pack. I also wanted to choose it first but wasn’t sure how many meters I would use for one character. Scheepjes didn’t tell me to write this, I just think the color pack is really fun. :D

Finished dimensions:
79 inches (200 cm) long, 6 inches (14,5 centimeters) wide

Additional materials: 3 Stitch markers, tapestry needle, yarn tension ring. Extra +2 spare 2mm needles (for binding of).

Skill Level: Intermediate
