If you would like to ask questions or knit with others there is a KAL for the hat - here.

A fun-to-make colourwork hat you can work as EITHER:

stranded
or mosaic (slipped stitches)

The pattern includes 3 charts:

  • 5-colour version
  • 9-colour version
  • 2-yarn version (or you can use this chart to colour in and try your own colour sequence)

I have included some tips on a quick way of dealing with the ends.

Approx. yarn allowance.

For 2-yarn version: allow 100m/110yds of each yarn.

For 5-colour version: allow 60m/65yds of each yarn (you’ll have some leftovers).

For 9-colour version:
allow 60m/65yds of the dark colour
allow 22m/25yds each for the medium shades (silver, medium green and denim blue on the original hat)
allow 11m/13yds each for the remaining 5 colours
