The pattern includes the romper and the skirt or cape.
Thread: 1 (1,1,2) balls
Additional materials:
- “Star” Six Strand Mercerized Embroidery Cotton, 1 skein each of 2 colors (for straps, ties, and flower stem)
- Fruit of the Loom Rick Rack
- “Star” Mercerized Sewing Thread
- Velcro (snaps or hooks-and-eyes are suggested as alternatives)
The romper is made in one piece using a combination of flat and in-the-round construction. It is seamless and closes in the back. The straps are chained from embroidery thread. It is embellished with rick-rack around the top edge.
The skirt or cape is made flat in one piece. The ties are chained from embroidery thread. Rick-rack is applied around the waist. The flower-pot pocket is made separately and sewn on. The stem and leaf of the flower are embroidered. The flower is made of rick-rack and sewn on.
Sized for 8”-19” fashion dolls with the 1960s body types.
