Playing with Yarn Beanie
This hat started with a question on a facebook group. Can you make 2 rows, rounds of single crochet at once? I began playing with yarn to answer this question, hence the name of the beanie. 2 videos are linked in the pattern and will help with the special stitch SPS used in the pattern. As noted in pattern, you can use the linked double crochet stitch for the crown instead.
As written the pattern is an adult med/lg. To adjust for child/teen/sm adult, Use a smaller hook. For a toddler/ small child, use G hook making 6 round of sc or hdc (depending on your gauge) instead of the special stitch. For a large/ x large, do a 7th increase round but only increasing 6 st evenly around (66 st) As long as the stitch count is evenly divisible by 6 the rest of the pattern will remain the same.
Finished crown is 7 in diameter. Height of finished hat 8 in.
