This is a one size fits all shawl; however, a shorter person would need less length, of course. The length also depends upon where you want it to hang -- a totally arbitrary personal choice. This is a very flexible pattern, which makes it easy to add your personal touch.

I used 5 skeins of the Plymouth encore tweed, color 2334, purchased at Blue Beaker, Ottawa, IL.

The gauge is my own, and I tend to knit loosely. You may want to use larger needles if you tend to knit tightly.

I used circular size US 8 needles. You will also need one size 4 straight needle.

My husband made the buttons from a birch log; you can buy similar buttons on etsy, or just use any large buttons, at least 2 1/2 inches in diameter. I have made this same shawl with one button and also with three. Again, a personal choice.
