Plesiosaur large
This pattern is based on a real plesiosaur fossil (alive along side the dinosaurs) described by a good friend and colleague. To make this plesiosaur come life the Paleo-artist Esther van Hulsen made a beautiful reconstruction on paper. The colors are taken from this image. If you wish to see more of her work find her on Facebook.
You can make this pattern all one color or like me two colors. One color is definitely easier and won’t have you worry about keeping the belly color straight. From my experience this takes the most time and effort to keep it the way you want.
I myself am a fairly novice crocheter, so there will be no difficult stitches in this pattern. The difficulty lies in keeping the colors straight, which will be not an issue if you use only one color.
The end product will be about 1,5 meters long!
Materials:
Crochet hook: 3 mm; UK 11; US D/3 (note you might need a little bit more yarn for US size) Stuffing: I used the cheapest head pillows I could find. I needed at lease three regular sized pillows.

White 3 balls, 100% acrylic 100g = ca 350m
Black, light green and dark green for the eyes. (small amounts)
