The Plot Twist was specially designed for Summer of
Socks 2026. The shawl consists of two different sections
that come together to form one design: a playful section
with slipped stitches and a calmer section with simple
stripes. It is this unexpected change that gives the shawl
both its name and its unique character.

The Plot Twist is knitted with one 100 g skein and five
mini skeins, giving you plenty of opportunity to play with
different colour combinations. Of course, you can also
knit it with two 100 g skeins and work the entire design in
just two colours. The pattern itself is easy to knit, while
the combination of colour, slipped stitches and stripes
keeps things interesting on your needles

The sample is knitted with: 1 skein Wol met Verve Basic
Sock, 100 g / 420 m, 75% superwash wool, 25% nylon
and 5 Wol met Verve Simple Sock Mini skeins, 20 g/84 m
each, 75% superwash wool, 25% nylon.
You can of course substitute these with other fingering
weight yarns, such as our Merino Twist Sock and Merino
Twist Sock Mini skeins.

The shawl is worked using knit stitches, purl stitches, and slipped stitches. Both side edges are finished with an i-cord, which also allows you to neatly and invisibly weave in the yarn ends

The shawl measures approximately 225 cm long and 45
cm deep. These are the measurements after washing.
