I created this pattern to remind me of the beautiful Plumeria flower leis from Hawaii, their perfume wafting on the breeze.

This is a crescent shaped wrap, worked top down in alternating bands of garter stitch and Plumeria lace flowers, so you can make your wrap larger or smaller just by knitting more or less repeats.

Any fingering weight yarn will work so if you were looking for a pattern to use up that one skein of expensive lace yarn that’s been sitting in your stash, this is it. I used one skein of Expression Fiber Arts Alpaca Silk Lace in color Purity. It comes in a 604 yd skein and I still had a few yards left over.

The lace pattern is both charted and written out.
