Kara Hobbs, one of our design contest winners, created this charming little cap with 1 skein of Wool Clasica. Poco Rojo means “Little Red” in Spanish. Cables crawl down the sides and end in a little elfish point at the top. This little cap comes complete with a chin strap as well. Too cute! To get more info on Kara, click here to visit her blog.

This hat is knit as a flat rectangle, grafted together at the back. As such, it would be easy to adjust the size by adding or subtracting repeats of the smaller cable pattern. Instead of having one small cable on each side of the Trellis Cable Motif, there could be two on each side, two on the bottom edge and one at the top, or none at all. Each small cable repeat adds or subtracts 6 stitches.
