Pod Hat and Cowl

Twisted rib combine with a long cable repeat to form a pod shaped pattern which looks great on both a hat and a cowl.

This pattern provides instructions for 3 sizes of hat (small, medium, large) in 2 versions, beanie and slouchy plus a matching cowl.

Yarn: The Hat uses less than 100g skein of fingering weight yarn; the Cowl uses almost all of 100g skein of fingering weight yarn

Yarn used for sample is Blue Fern Yarns Boo merino/bamboo fingering in Concrete 400m per 100g

Needles: 3.25mm 16” circular, dpns or longer circular needle for magic loop

Gauge: 36 sts x 40 rows in 10 cm/4” over cable pattern blocked

Size: Hat: to fit head size 51 cm/20”, 56 cm/22”, 61 cm/24”, the ribbed pattern is quite stretchy so the sizes are quite flexible

Cowl: 24.5 cm/9.75” diameter by 40.5 cm/16” long
