Textured cable socks

A ribbed cuff flows into a squishy, high-relief cabled braid on the front, and a mock cable back seam accented with star stitches. There is a reverse stockinette background, with toe decreases hidden underneath. The heel and sole feature eye of partridge stitch for comforting texture and reinforcement.

The socks are knitted top down, with heel flap and square toe. The 12 stitch, three-strand cables are mirrored between left and right socks.

Yarn Characteristics:
The samples shown use pale sock yarns - a light, very even color should be used so that the texture can be seen. Choose a plied washable sock yarn with high wool content, and a squishy, high loft feel.
