This stocking is knitted from the top down, beginning with the I-cord band. Stitches are picked up from the I-cord, and the sock is knitted downward using fair isle patterning. The heel is knitted in the established color stripe pattern, using a heel flap and gusset, and the stocking has a round toe shaping.

Materials needed:

Two colors of Loops & Threads Impeccable, one skein each
Size 6 needles--one 16” circular and a set of double-points
Size 8 needles--two double-point needles
Yarn needle for grafting I-cord ends

Pattern includes Poinsettia color chart, written instructions, tips and photo-illustrated techniques, and lots of photos of the work in progress.
