I am so excited to publish my very first pattern!

My intention for this pattern was to create a throw for myself for Christmas, however the poinsettia granny square can be used to make what ever you wish. As this is made up from granny squares, you can make your blanket as large as you need and change the layout of your squares too.

I used a 10 ply medium yarn for my throw, but have also tried using an acrylic 8ply yarn and Scheepjes stone wash to test a granny square in different colours. Don’t be afraid to experiment.

This may be a little challenging for Beginners, but if you are very adventurous, feel free to give it a go.

I used Mary Maxim’s Starlette Sparkle (180m per 100g ball) in White (6 balls), Ruby (3 balls), Emerald (3 balls) & Topaz (1 ball). I did have close to a whole ball left over of all colours but the Topaz.

Happy hooking!
