“Pointe de Sel” means pinch of salt. But to me it signals extra flavour - somehow a little salt makes sweetness all the sweeter.

Using a special hand-dyed or handspun is the knitting equivalent - everything looks just a bit more sophisticated than with 2 solids .

You can use just the one special yarn, or two, but make sure that you have good contrast between ALL the colours in both yarns or the motifs will look blurred.

The cowl starts with provisional cast-on, is worked in the round and then joined with kitchener stitch.

A soothing knit that’s easily memorised so, despite the stranding, it actually makes good travel or social knitting (as we start doing that again).
