This pattern is suitable for a confident beginner. I have listed all the stitches at the start of the pattern so if there are any you aren’t familiar with you can check them out on YouTube. I’ve also listed alternatives where possible.

The pattern contains written instructions and photographs of each round.

I’ve used DROPS Muskat cotton with a 4mm hook. You can use another brand of cotton with a 4mm hook, or a thicker cotton with a 5mm hook. I wouldn’t use a smaller hook as the finished coaster will be smaller.

I’ve used up to 15g of cotton on each coaster so they make great stash busters!

I crochet tightly so your finished coaster will probably be larger than mine.
