Pattern designed originally for Woolgirl’s Witch’s Guard from The Wizard of Oz Kit.

Sometimes a yarn can take your breath away, amazed by how it captures something so perfectly. That is what happened when I saw Alpha B’s interpretation of the Witch’s Guard from The Wizard of Oz. The colors were almost identical to the guard’s uniform that I could practically hear their chanting…O-Ee-Yah! Eoh-Ah! All that was needed were the spears in their hands. That image is what inspired this design. From the spiky picot cuff, to the spear-like shapes that travel down the sock, here are the Witch’s Guard and their Pointy Sticks.
