Polarvargen, Canis lupus arctos, the Arctic Wolf.
This design was inspired by the song Polarvargen by the Swedish industrial metal band Raubtier.
In the lyrics a man that has been betrayed by his woman. He is singing about his revenge and the betrayal, how the women has the hunger of a wolverine and the eyes of an arctic wolf. His heart is frozen to death and he now has to wander the eternal winter with a cold and tortured soul.
Despite the song being about lost love, I couldn’t help being moved by the depth of love the man had for his woman.

Knitted cuff down, the cables on the leg form the head of a wolf. The sock also features a short row heel and a smaller wolf head on the foot.
