Every year I can’t help but create a new stocking just for fun. It’s become my holiday tradition, and I don’t even want to imagine how many stockings I’ll have when I’m old.

They’re just so fun and quick to work up! Bulky yarn and cheerful polka dots make this one a cozy, playful addition to the mantel.

• Bulky and quick. Bulky yarn means this stocking works up fast.

• Hanging tab included. Worked on a smaller needle for a sturdy loop.

• Yarn: Hygge, Red Heart (bulky weight 5), 145 yds (133 m). Colors shown: Pearl and Ivy.
• Love a swap? Comfort Chunky, Red Heart · For Babies Chunky, Stylecraft · Wool-Ease Chunky, Lion Brand · Big Value Baby Soft Chunky, King Cole (check gauge)
• Needles: US 10.5 (6.0mm) circular needles or 5 DPNs, plus US 8 (5.0mm) for the stocking tab
• Tools: Removable Stitch Markers (if needed) · Yarn Needle · Small amount of waste yarn
