Notes
This blanket is made up of 16 granny squares; 8 of these squares have the colour in the middle surrounded by white, and the other 8 have white in the middle surrounded by the colour.
The squares are attached using the zig zag slip stitch method.
The blanket is finished off with a Pom Pom/Popcorn stitch border.
The finished blanket is 76 x 76cm, but it is adaptable, so if you’d like it to be bigger or smaller, you can change the number of squares you make.
For this pattern I used a weight #4 yarn and a 5.5mm hook, but it can be made in any yarn, but be aware that your squares may be different sizes.
If you are using the same materials I did and your gauge doesn’t match, adjust your hook size accordingly.
While it’s not needed, I would recommend blocking your squares before attaching them.
