Polkett is a beautiful blanket with a geometrical leaf pattern. In the first two parts it is knit from the short sides in towards the middle. In the last two parts you knit outwards towards the edge to close the rectangle/square. The blanket is easy to adapt sizewise by knitting more repeats of some charts, depending on if you want it longer, higher or more square.

A polkett is a traditional Swedish folk dance, similar to but lighter and bouncier than a polka. Often accompanied by violins, it is quite lively and includes a lot of spinning around.
