POLYCHROMA
Polychrome is a way of decorating architecture with colors.

The Polychroma sweater is knit using short-row colorwork. The mohair silk makes it delicately light-weight but warm at the same time.

It starts with the shoulders and sleeves, which are knit in one piece like a long rectangle of short-row colorwork, with a centered neck opening. The long edges on both sides will be grafted to form the sleeves. The cuff gathers up the edges into balloon sleeves. The middle part of the rectangle will form the body which is knit top down either back and forth or using No-Purl Garter In the Round.

SIZES
78 - 190 cm.
See sizing table in pattern. Some sizes are achieved by changing the gauge.

GAUGE
Small gauge (4.5 mm needles):
Ca 16 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm in garter stitch without blocking.
Oval size: 11 cm long (tip to tip), 4.5 cm wide.

Large gauge (5 mm needles):
Ca 14.5 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm in garter stitch without blocking.
Oval size: 12.5 cm long (tip to tip), 5 cm wide.

The sample sweater has not been blocked. See further notes under Blocking.

NOTE: Decide which size and gauge you want, make a swatch and then adapt your needle size to that. You might need to go up or down in needle size to reach gauge.
