This toque/beanie pattern is about as quick and simple as it gets. It uses two strands of yarn in different colours for that cool “marled” effect as well as for extra warmth and speed of production. The satisfying spiral decreases look intricate but are actually easy as heck. It requires less than 200 yards of yarn divided into two colours, so it makes an excellent stashbuster. Given the infinite number of potential colour combinations, it will make a perfect gift for anyone - including yourself. And with a huge, brightly-coloured pom-pom (homemade or purchased) to give it some extra circumstance, this little hat will attract admirers wherever it goes. So what are you waiting for? Get your knit together and cast on!
