This neck wrap can be made with or without buttons and button loops. If you choose not to use buttons, you will need a pretty scarf pin to secure it around your neck. Without buttons, it is difficult to get the two points to overlap and align perfectly. The two square ends come together and overlap secured by the buttons and loops. They are made using a Linen Stitch so one lays flat on top of the other.

The piece is knit holding two strands of yarn together, one in a worsted weight solid color and the other in a sport weight painted yarn. You will need about 200 yards of each.
