Grab 2 balls of Pop! yarn in your favorite colors and knit up this beautiful asymmetric lace shawl while learning the basics of knitting lace. The 12 lace patterns build on each other, starting with simple eyelets and working your way up to a gorgeous feather and fan pattern.

I created this pattern with this yarn in mind: there are 6 colors in each ball of yarn and each color has it’s own lace pattern. However, this same pattern would look equally as beautiful in a solid color.

Skill level: beginner. I created this pattern for a beginner lace knitting class. If you already know how to cast on, knit and purl, then you can make this shawl. I explain in detail how to do the rest of the stitches that are used.

I used Bernat Pop! in color Scarlet Sizzle, but any worsted weight yarn will work, even a solid color would look nice done up in these lace stitches.
