Who doesn’t love a bobbled pillow?

This bobbled pillow is crocheted corner-to-corner, in Suzette stitch. The back of the pillow is simple Suzette stitch. The front incorporates bobbles throughout, which creates the seemingly random bobble splash. The smaller bobbles—embroidered French knots—are added to the front of the pillow once crocheting is complete.

(Photographs and step-by-step instructions are included for both the corner-to-corner Suzette stitch and the French knots)

Use a variegated yarn to achieve the striped look, or choose a solid colour and let those bobbles really POP! You will also need a complementary-coloured yarn for the bobbles and border.
(The pillow in the photographs uses one skein Lion Brand Ice Cream Roving yarn, and a partial skein of Loops & Threads Baby Bliss in Enchanted White.)

The two sides are seamed together using a crab stitch (with the option to use a smaller hook). This pillow cover is designed to fit a standard 14”×14” pillow insert.

Gauge is measured in corner-to-corner Suzette st:
Corner-to-corner Suzette st × 10 rows = 4” (10cm) length of sides
