Poplar and Vine
Inspired by the leaves of the balsam poplar tree, this chunky scarf is knit in the round to create a squishy, cozy fabric that is double-sided. One side features twisted stitches forming a leaf and vine motif and the other side has simple textured stripes. Finished with tassels for a bit of fun. The pattern includes tips for customizing the length and making a narrower version of the design to suit your personal style. A versatile fall and winter accessory that you will love to wrap up in.

YARN NOTES
Estimated amount: 1210 yds (1107 m) (475 g) including tassels
Size 3+/Heavy DK/Light Worsted. The recommended yarn is a squishy, plied, rustic wool with good stitch definition.
OR
If you would prefer a narrower scarf, you can use a lighter weight yarn and smaller needles (and complete additional chart repeats to achieve a similar length). Your yarn amounts will likely differ than those stated here.
The sample used 5 skeins of The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Pishkun in color Chinook Winds.
CONSTRUCTION
