Gauge is not important as it is only a decorative piece.
The completed poppy is approx. 6cm/2.25” in diameter & 2.25 cm/1” high, depending on how you ‘mould’ the poppy.
One ball of each colour is plenty suffice to make many poppies!

My most sincere apologies but I’ve omitted the poppy’s black centre rows 3 & 5. They are to be purled.
