This pattern started out with some hand dyed yarn. I dyed a sock blanket and it looked like a field of poppies. After pulling out the yarn from the blanket I had a beautiful red sparkled thread left and it became the starting point for this pattern.

You will enjoy knitting this scarf with color changes and easy lace stitches that will keep you busy during this project. It is a perfect beginner project if you want to start lace knitting and play around a little.

The charts for the lace section and color work are written in charts.

color A (300-400 m): red –preferebly a hand dyed yarn/colorful
color B (200 m): dark green – (solid)
color C (100 m): light green – (solid)
color D (25 m): black– (solid)

Further do not worry too much about the needlesize or yarn weight. A fingering or sport yarn will be fine.
