This poppy can be used to decorate remembrance wreaths, or add a pin on the back to wear as a brooch.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the poppy is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.25mm single pointed knitting needles (US 3).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, and a safety pin or brooch pin.

SIZES
One size only - The poppy flower is 6.5cm tall (with stalk and leaf attached, 9.5cm tall).

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, short rows for shaping, and a little bit of seaming to finish.
