Poppy Pod Necklace
I’ve always had a thing for the shape of dried poppy pods. They’re such striking remnants of a summer garden that I like them even more than the flowers themselves. This poppy pod-inspired necklace also reminds me of why I was drawn to creating knit jewelry in the first place--it’s so soft and lightweight, it’s like accessorizing yourself with a cloud. Or a hug. Cozy and dreamlike. So in the words of the Wicked Witch of the West, “Poppies will put them to sleep. Sleeep….”
(I couldn’t help myself from making the opium joke here. Apologies. I blame the wizard.)
Wrap this garland around your neck two to five times, depending on your mood, to accentuate any neckline beautifully.
