Populuxe
Inspired by midcentury sunburst clocks and mirrors, Populuxe is simply bursting with style. The cropped cardigan is knit seamlessly from the top down. A unique sunburst motif made up of slipped stitches, mini cables, and eyelets begins the upper back. When the upper back is long enough, it’s placed on hold, and stitches are picked up from the cast-on edge for the upper fronts. The fronts and back are joined when the underarm stitches are cast on, and the body is knit down with waist shaping. Sleeves are picked up from the finished body’s armholes, and the sleeve caps are shaped using short-rows to create seamless set-in sleeves. They’re knit down to ¾ length. The final details are the 1x1 rib button and neck bands that are picked up and knit. Choose a size with 0-3 in / 0-8 cm of negative ease through the bust.
The stitch pattern comes in both written and charted format.
