Portia the Piglet is a fluffy, chubby little piglet that is the perfect size to hug and snuggle while sleeping. This is a beginner friendly pattern that involves almost no sewing. You will need to sew the ears to the head, the head to the body and the tail to the body, everything else is crocheted together in one piece. The pattern includes detailed instructions and over 50 colour photos and diagrams to show you exactly how to achieve the right result. I used velvet yarn to make Portia but you can use any chunky yarn you like with a 3,5mm hook to achieve the same size result. I would advise picking a soft yarn rather than a stiff one. You would need about 220grams of yarn in the main colour and just a little bit of black yarn to embroider the facial features. This is a quick, fun project to put together.
