Portland Beanie - Adventure into texture.

The idea for the Portland Beanie came when I found the perfect rust colored yarn in a little yarn shop in Portland, Oregon. Then, this project became the search to create the perfect texture. It has a subtle slouch, which you can easily alter, and I love the look of a little slouch with a faux fur pom! This is the type of hat that you’ll get tons of compliments on, because it looks almost too good to be handmade.

Grab your favorite skein of DK or lightweight worsted yarn and you’re ready to go. It’s the perfect project to use for that skein of yarn in your stash that you haven’t touched yet, and the perfect excuse to try out some new techniques and stitches! This one works up pleasantly fast, and you’ll love the adventure into texture.
