I was thinking of the atmosphere of the famous London antiques street market when I designed this sweater. Situated in the traditionally bohemian and relaxed area of Notting Hill, Portobello Road was always a hive of creative energy in the swinging sixties, frequented by a mixture of local people and fashion-conscious celebrities.

I can easily imagine this piece being worn there with matching Courrèges boots and mini skirt, its decorative rib pattern in exquisitely lightweight silk tweed yarn capturing the mood of the time.
