Portokali is a top-down sweater, worked seamlessly in the round. It features simple alternating stripes and short rows to shape the upper back for the perfect fit. The body is slightly cropped with a loose fit. The 3/4 sleeves complement the overall shape of the garment, but can easily be lengthened as desired.

Portokali, as a design, plays with yarn texture and opacity: it combines a smooth alpaca yarn with a lot of drape together with a soft and semi-transparent silk mohair boucle yarn. This combo creates a unique and truly beautiful result, without delving into any complicated techniques.

Portokali (Πορτοκάλι, Πορτοκαλί) means orange in Greek (both the fruit and the color).

Instructions are given in written abbreviated form and US terms.
