If you’re interested in lace - and specifically Shetland lace - and are an adventurous beginner this pattern will provide you a good start. It features a simple lace pattern on a garter stitch base.

This scarflette is small and lightweight and provides some warmth - although its main purpose is as a fashion statement, providing a bit a color at your neck, with the added interest of the primitive flower lace patterning.

Although this pattern calls for Everyshine Cashmere Lace, if you have difficulty sourcing it any heavy lace weight cashmere yarn that yields the gauge will do.

Here are the specifications for the featured yarn:
Everyshine CASHMERE LACE 88/12 (350yd/320m; 1.76oz/50g, 88% cashmere; 12% manufactured fibers) - 1 skein in colorway 06

You’ll also need seven stitch markers.
