This pattern makes a 7in x 7in square, but you can add more stitches/rows in an odd number to make it larger. Make sure your starting chain is an even number of rows as the last ch is the upright for the next row (but not the first stitch.)

I used 50g of Bernat Handicrafter Cotton for the pot holder and less than 50g of the same yarn for the trim in a contrasting color. Three 50g balls of yarn should make one pot holder and two dishcloths. I can do a set in the course of a weekend.
